
Dolpo is the most strenuous region which sprawled between the well known trekking region Dhaulagiri, and the most popular ethnic land of north and south Tibet. The region is an embodiment of the high passes adventurous trekking with the great surprising view of the sweeping vistas. The combination of the natural and cultural phenomena which is enriched and heritage from Tibetan culture is the interesting exploration points of the tour. The region now is very famous for the wild mushroom “called Yarchagumba” which is found in the area and is believed significantly good for the health. The area stretches through and around Arun river, for, the region is even known as Arun valley trekking
This trekking region was restricted till 1991. The area is also famous for the “Shey-Phokusunndo” National Park which lies between Dhaulagiri and the well known Tibetan Plateau. Preserving the blue sheep and the snow leopard the park deserves the eco-system between plants and the wildlife, too.
The massive breathtaking scenario of Kanjiroba and Dhaulagiri is yielding panoramic view which is vividly reflecting inside the Phoksundo Lake on the background of the blue sky. As well the Phoksundo Gompa presents you the memorable experience of the holy Tibetan culture.
With the opening of the region for the trekkers and the explorer the area has been famous in the world for its unique culture, beauty, the eco-system program, and the lifestyle. The movie called “CARAVAN” was prepared on the background of the area. With the presence of the world’s elusive snow leopard, blue sheep the hidden part Dolpo, now, has started to come on the front of the stages
